The St. Andrew Bay Resource Management Association (RMA), aka St. Andrew Bay Watch, is non-profit 501(c)3 citizens' group whose members are committed to the proper management of St. Andrew Bay and adjoining bays, lakes, tributaries and wetlands. RMA recognizes that the St. Andrew Bay system is Bay County's most valuable natural resource, and that the bay plays a key role in the local economy.
Our goal is to maintain and improve the quality of Bay County's surface waters and critical fishery habitats. We operate several monitoring and research programs in this endeavor including Turtle Watch and Bay Watch Water Quality, Seagrass, Living Shorelines, and Scallop Monitoring and Restoration programs.
Data are analyzed and interpreted by RMA and delivered in a useable format to local, state and federal agencies to better inform decisions regarding our bay system. In addition to monitoring and research, one of RMA’s primary goals is to involve the entire community through our volunteer programs as well as through education and outreach events geared toward raising awareness of our sensitive and critical bay system. RMA’s operations are 100% reliant on securing competitive grants and through generous member donations. We promote sound management of the bay and the surrounding watershed to ensure it remains healthy for future generations to enjoy. Please join our efforts by becoming a member today.
